GEA seeks to internationalize Espírito Santo Saúde
On Tuesday, the LA Group Health Services, a company owned by GEA filed a Tender Offer (IPO) of up to 100 percent of the shares representing the share capital of Espírito Santo Saúde (ESS), for which pay 4.30 euros per share (74.7 pesos), a price deemed "high and competitive" and is nine percent higher than the current value of the shares.
With the increase in its share price, the value of the Portuguese broadcaster rose by 31 million 700 thousand euros (equivalent to 560 million 816 thousand pesos), validating its default value of 623 million euros, considered in the Offer public Procurement.
And the Espírito Santo Saúde Group (ESS) is one of the most important companies in the private hospital sector in Portugal. Founded in 2000, the group has 18 units comprising clinics, health centers and nursing homes, including the Hospital da Luz in Lisbon.
The takeover bid launched by Grupo Empresarial Angeles and drew positive responses in Lisbon stock exchange, so much so that the shares of ESS in the Portuguese market closed with a gain of 8.42 percent.
On the supply side, the news channel RTP.PT praised the operation and gave a detailed description of Grupo Empresarial Angeles, including recent statements by the CEO of GEA, Olegario Vazquez Aldir, about his plans to make investments abroad.
He stressed that the group has been growing in recent years in all its divisions: healthcare, financial sector, tourism and media.

On the importance of this operation in Europe, Olegario Vazquez Aldir, CEO of GEA, said: "For us it has always been a dream to internationalize the group."
